We love our Dogs, but there are those times that other neighborhood dogs wander up and down the street because no one is really paying attention to them, well those dogs we may not love so much as they come and do their daily routines in our yards or disrupt our dogs leisurely stroll.Well we were given this recipe so one can “Dog Proof” an area without hurting those neighborhood strays. Again, can’t recommend or anything like that but the creator of this recipe made it clear, make up a batch and spread it around and you will not have any of those annoying visits.
- 1 Onion
- 1 Hot Pepper
- Cayenne Pepper
- Liquid Dish Soap
Chop 1 large yellow or white onion and one hot pepper (Habanero or Jalapeno)Place in a large sauce pan with 2 Quarts of waterStir in 1 tbs of Cayenne PepperBring to a boil, Leave over heat but lower the temperature and Cover.Let is simmer for twenty minutesPour through a strainer into a large heat proof containerAdd 2 tbs. of Liquid Dish DetergentOnce it is all mixed and cooled down, pour into a small spray containerSpray problem areas or set a perimeter, Spray until you see the liquid dripping off contacted surfacesSpray again in a week or so, by then the intruders will most likely have decided to go elsewhere.Let us know if it works!
